Savannah Historic District Board of Review approves new, downtown hotel

Savannah’s Historic District Board of Review on Wednesday gave the green light to Greenline's design of a new hotel at the north end of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The height and mass of the project, a six-story, Art Deco-style hotel designed by Greenline Architecture, was unanimously approved by the board.

Located at 63 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., the hotel will feature two stories of underground parking and have a footprint of nearly 27,000 square-feet.

"What we’re trying to do is create a very iconic building and we’ve gone above and beyond to make this a one of a kind iconic building,” said Keith Howington, Greenline project manager.
