This project includes a new gymnasium building and renovations to the existing Moses Jackson Center for the City of Savannah. The design theme was to provide a new gymnasium that included design cues from the existing elementary school but with a more modern flair.
The gym will be used for a variety community events, so materials and finishes were selected that are durable and appropriate for the anticipated activities. Portions of the existing building will be renovated to allow for new workout areas and activity rooms. The program includes a new gymnasium, new boy’s and girl’s locker rooms, a concession stand, offices, workout room and activity spaces. Construction began at the end of 2021.
